Inspired by Dr Rudolf Steiner’s principles of anthroposophy, we seek to understand each person and situation as unique, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach.Mō te tūranga | About the Role A Permanent Reliever is an experienced Support Worker who fills in for staff during planned or unplanned leave, providing essential support across various houses and services. You’ll have fixed days of work, with mandatory rostered shifts and consistent days off.Each fortnight, your roster will include a guaranteed 75 hours of hands-on support across various services. The hours and shifts will vary each fortnight, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, offering a dynamic and rewarding work experience. We seek someone who enjoys variety and can adapt their support style to meet diverse needs.*This role does not require sleepover shifts. However, you need to be available between 7 am and 9 pm.* The salary for this position is set by pay equity, depending on qualification level, ranging from $23.50 to $28.25 per hour. Ngā kawenga tūnga | Responsibilities You will support people with disabilities in settings such as their homes, the community, and at our day services. The people we support enjoy community outings like shopping, beach walks, coffee and cake, visiting friends, supporting sports teams, markets, fairs, or visiting the pub.Their needs vary, and daily tasks may include: Cooking Cleaning Medication administration Store purchasing Personal cares Facilitating community participation and recreational activities Supporting people to achieve their goals Nga haora kua tohua | Rostered hours You can choose from the following permanent roster patterns, if successful:Tuesday to Saturday Sunday to Thursday Guaranteed hours per fortnight: 75 Mō koe | About You Resilient, self-motivated, empathetic, with a passion for helping others and making a difference. A team player with a positive outlook, capable of problem-solving, managing risks, and making thoughtful decisions.At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or equivalent qualification. Must complete police vetting. Committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of the role.
