About the role The Christchurch Logistics Team Leader reports to the National Supply Chain Manager in Auckland and leads a team of six Logistics Assistants at the Christchurch Donor Centre. You will oversee service delivery and serve as the key liaison and frontline representative, managing daily operations, safety, compliance, and timely service.The role has two main operational responsibilities: Management of Dispatch Operations Lead daily activities related to transportation and distribution of blood products from Christchurch. Manage stock movements. Build strong relationships with other teams and customers. Management of Inwards GoodsEnsure compliance, quality, and safety in a regulated multi-temperature environment. Perform quality control and inspection of inbound goods. Lead stock control and documentation processes. Manage stores for fast-moving consumables. About you To succeed, you need excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, especially in complex environments. Strong leadership is essential, and you should demonstrate NZBS values in your management style.Leadership experience, preferably in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals or healthcare. Logistics or warehousing experience, with a good understanding of dispatch and distribution. Ability to build trusting stakeholder relationships. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize.Knowledge of quality systems and health and safety standards. A pragmatic, hands-on leadership style aligned with our values.
