We are seeking expressions of interest for permanent, full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineering roles across various specialisations.About the roles: Air New Zealand Engineering&Maintenance is a major provider of aircraft and component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services with customers across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Experience with A320/321, ATR, Q300, B777, and B787 aircraft is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants holding a valid CAANZ/CASA/EASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence and/or aircraft type rating.Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Roles are based at our Line Maintenance locations in New Zealand or within our hangar teams performing maintenance from transit checks to heavy maintenance. Responsibilities include servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and rectifying defects to ensure safety and fleet punctuality.Ideal candidates enjoy high-level customer service, possess strong aircraft maintenance skills, have at least 2 years' experience, hold a valid licence, and can work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Avionic, and Metal Structures) Our facilities provide maintenance for airline fleets and offer technical design services for various aircraft in civil and defence sectors, including the manufacture or rebuild of specialised composite and high-strength metal parts.Minimum of two years’ work experience Completion of an aviation apprenticeship, traineeship, military, or aeronautical training (preferred) Strong skills in Mechanical or Avionic aircraft engineering Ability to identify improvements and work collaboratively or independently to enhance safety and performanceAircraft Technician If you are interested in aircraft maintenance but lack the qualifications for an Engineer role, you may qualify as a technician. We seek tradespeople from related trades with the right attitude and potential for cross-training. Minimum requirements include: Level 4 NZ Certificate in Engineering (Trade) or equivalentTrade Certificate in a relevant trade or allied apprenticeship Our Benefits: Starting salary from $85,000 to $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a 4% KiwiSaver match and allowances for shifts, certifications, and overtime.
