Job Description: Trainee Fitter/Fabricator, Saint Leonards Are you a recent graduate in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering looking to start your career? We are seeking a full-time, permanent Trainee Fitter/Fabricator to join our team at our Hastings facility. Our projects include innovative applications such as space launches, 5G technology, OLED TVs, and flexible solar panels. As a KJLC Trainee, you will receive training to become a qualified engineer through a UK-recognised programme.We will support you in obtaining a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. This role combines employment with college attendance. Key Responsibilities: Learn to layout, cut, fit, and tack assemblies using TIG welding. Ability to layout, position, and secure parts per drawings using measuring tools and fixtures.Read and understand technical drawings, including weld symbols. Work within a Manufacturing Cell, multitasking effectively. Working Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Thursday (8am– 5pm), early finish on Friday.
