Here you will make a meaningful contribution to our Kaupapa of providing a safe and positive childbearing experience to all expectant pregnant people in our region.As the Midwife Manager, you will lead and support the Dunedin Hospital Maternity Unit (named Queen Mary), providing clinical and operational leadership to ensure the service is responsive to the changing needs of our community and health system. Possess the ability to think outside the square, communicate effectively, and promote best practice and standards of midwifery care. Demonstrate sound professional judgement.Have relevant knowledge of patient safety and resource management, including budgeting, equipment, and staff management. Demonstrate clinical quality, safety, and best practice. Confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment.Confidence with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
