Description
Volunteer to be a Young Humanitarians Facilitator and help support rangatahi (young people) to take humanitarian action in their communities. Young Humanitarians | Karawhiua! creates spaces for young people to voice their concerns for humanitarian issues like climate change, nuclear war and inclusion, and be part of the solutions. Facilitators help foster meaningful conversations between young people and activities that make a meaningful difference, from streamside planting to packing welcome packs for former refugees. Facilitators may be required to supervise young people under 18. You will report to our volunteer-led branch, and receive guidance from staff, who will guide you through your volunteering journey.Delivering one or two educational workshops. Facilitating discussion and activities around humanitarian issues. Supporting rangatahi to connect content to action in their communities. Providing feedback after the programme is delivered.
