We’re seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents, and whānau in facilitating child-led play. Role Overview You will work alongside our Centre whānau to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki, while role modelling child-led play and positive guidance.Key Responsibilities Support whānau in the use of Te Reo Māori. Encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre. Demonstrate the benefits of participating to whānau. Write learning stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning, and wonders.Support whānau in exploring their light bulb moments. Mentor and support parents, whānau, members, and tamariki as they explore and learn during these formative years. Start Date 28 April 2025 Working Hours Monday from 9.15am to 1.15pm. This is a permanent position during school term time only.Candidate Requirements Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher. Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this. A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.
