About the Role The Youth Justice pathway offers tamariki and rangatahi who have, or are alleged to have committed an offence, a chance to change their lives positively without a criminal record. As a Youth Justice Social Worker, you will collaborate with rangatahi, whānau, police, youth advocates, and community services to address underlying factors contributing to offending, aiming to reduce lifelong offending potential.This position provides an opportunity to make a positive impact in your community, fostering environments where tamariki and rangatahi can thrive. Minimum Requirements Social Work Qualification and/or Full Registration Current Annual Practicing Certificate with the New Zealand Social Worker Registration BoardPassion for working with youth and building relationships Excellent communication skills Commitment to bicultural practice and understanding of Tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi Knowledge of the Oranga Tamariki Act and Youth Justice processes Experience in child protection and relevant legislationWhat We Offer Remuneration ranges from $81,206 to $97,557, with annual progression based on experience.
