We aim to build a health system based on partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau-centred care, and excellence.About the Role The Community Clinic (Midwife/Nurse Lead Clinic) seeks a registered midwife to join its team providing sexual and reproductive health care. This role focuses on ensuring equity and developing skills to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care that respects our community's cultural needs.The role also supports individuals across the gender spectrum, women experiencing first trimester loss, and women seeking termination of pregnancy. There is an opportunity for casual work in the Maternity Unit. Our Tairāwhiti Way of Working involves collaboration across agencies to support whānau, using an interdisciplinary approach to identify needs and provide support, reducing barriers and improving access.For more information, contact Chris Hannah (Team Leader– Sexual&Reproductive Health) at or 06 868 9005. About You The successful applicant will upskill in contraception, immunisation, cervical screening, and start training in Narrative Therapy through the University of Waikato. Registered Midwife with a current APC. Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to learning and growth in these areas (mandatory).Experience with projects promoting Te Tiriti principles and Mātauranga Māori in healthcare (mandatory).
