Extrastaff Recruitment Listing Description Location: Gisborne, Gisborne Job type: Full time Duration: Permanent Description We are seeking experienced Welders to join Extrastaff Limited. Our expanding business values organized and trustworthy individuals committed to quality workmanship. Flexibility in work locations across the country may be required to support various projects. Key responsibilities include:Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment. Working with different metals, hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. Igniting torches or starting power supplies, striking arcs, and completing electrical circuits. Using safety equipment and maintaining safe work habits.Detecting equipment faults or defective materials and reporting to supervisors. Monitoring welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion. Operating hand and power tools for welding, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Analyzing engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to plan welding operations.Welding with aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys. Selecting and installing appropriate torches, tips, filler rods, and flux based on specifications. Adjusting gas flow and pressure for desired flames. Guiding flames or electrodes to shape and build up metal as needed.Performing other duties as assigned. Pay Conditions Starting from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Hours of Work Minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week. Skills and Experience Friendly demeanor, good time management, and strong work ethic. Willingness to learn and develop skills within the industry.Knowledge of health and safety procedures. Reliable and hardworking attitude. Additional Information This role may require work in various locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, and others.
