National Accounts Manager– MSO focus (Mountain/West Coast location) POSITION TITLE: National Accounts Manager – MSO focus POSITION OBJECTIVE: Broaden market coverage for broadband services providers selling solutions platforms to Tier 1 and 2 Cable MSO's. Formulate business strategy and implement plans to grow overall sales revenue and market share. This is a remote-based position; however, a Mountain/West Coast location would provide the best access to the targeted customer base.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Create rich selling environment for regional teams to sell Clearfield services and products. Identify key decision makers and executive contacts within targeted prospects to enable multilevel selling initiatives. Cold call, present benefits of Clearfield’s services and products, and obtain a commitment to explore further.Identify prospect needs, develop proposal, and manage the prospect through the steps of the sales process. Assist with closing the sale and maintain positive relationship with client. Builds long-term relationship throughout the pre and post-order sales cycle. Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual persons in a position to understand component requirements.Builds rapport with key contacts by utilizing a consultative business development approach. Identifies short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action. Provides product, technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.Gathers information and resources necessary to fulfill request for quote. Provide technical knowledge on the range of company products via personal contact and literature. Maintains all customer database information through CRM with accurate notes of all call activity. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Understands Clearfield’s products and services that fit within the market. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of customer’s business, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in field installations and other opportunities that become available.Assists internal Clearfield team with assuring the products and services are certified to meet customer requirements and expectations. Performs other duties as apparent or assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Five years of Inside/Outside sales experience, product knowledge, analytical abilities, broadband technical knowledge and experience, requirements analysis, multi-tasking, technical knowledge or education is preferred.Experience within the Tier 1 and 2 Cable MSO's market including relative active contacts and relationships in the industry preferred. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Experience coordinating and orchestrating a matrixed team is critical. Strong customer-facing and relationship management skills coupled with appropriate negotiation and influencing skills.Excellent discovery process and ability to leverage questions to learn and lead discussions. Successful track record of Sales success with increasingly complex deal and solution sales. A well-developed and consistent Sales process/methodology that focuses on selling to Business outcomes. Excellent communication and people skills.Expertise in the utilization of discovery to learn and enable client understanding. Ability to travel 50% of the time. In addition, nine paid holidays per year.SALARY RANGE: $109,293-$136,617-$163,950; commission eligible position. Offers of employment will be extended at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
