They tautoko (support) the largest workforce in the South Island, ensuring we pay our kaimahi (staff) accurately, on time, every time. They are hard-working and dedicated to delivering their mahi (work) to high standards, putting the customer at the centre of what they do.The P and C Administration kapa (team) does all of this while always striving to deliver great and timely customer service to our organisation, rangatira (leaders), and kaimahi (staff) as well as external customers. Key everyday responsibilities include the following: Processing HR contractual changes sent to the team via our Case Management System - MAXUnderstanding collective agreement clauses and applying that to our processing Ensuring these changes are updated in time for weekly payroll runs - what you change needs to be updated by our Payroll team Educating and supporting managers and employees through these changes Processing employee information and maintaining the confidentiality of information, alwaysEnsuring legislative compliance across our HR and PR activities Resolving or escalating complex cases or conflicts This role is located in the corporate offices at Te Nikau Hospital in Greymouth. As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement, this role has been mapped to National Band 3/Profile 3C. For further information about the administration and clerical pay equity settlement, visit Administration and Clerical Pay Equity - Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand.About the team The P and C Administration kapa (team) tautoko (supports) our rangatira (leaders) and kaimahi (staff), through the employee lifecycle, by delivering high-level customer service and processing human resource and payroll contractual changes and other administration tasks - many of which are based via our Case Management Service - max. You will spend your time processing these cases to ensure our people's HR journey is concise and any changes that affect their pay are processed on time.We are a large, diverse, and eclectic team, many based in Christchurch. However, we do have one Administrator working at Te Nikau and are looking for someone else to join our journey. About you We are looking for someone who has a passion for following processes, even when they are complex. You enjoy being inquisitive and want to do the best for our people across Te Tao o Poutini - West Coast.To be successful in this role, you should enjoy interacting with a number of people - our customers, your colleagues, and other people from wider teams. You need to be able to work autonomously and take initiative.
