Histology - Medical Laboratory Associate - Late shift, Hamilton

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at IDEXX, you will be a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. You will perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets across the UK. This is a full-time permanent role (37.5 hrs/week) with competitive benefits, in a fast-paced environment that encourages teamwork, quality, and personal growth.Histology: IDEXX Histology departments process tissue samples from animals for diagnostic evaluation by our team of Veterinary Pathologists. Technicians and Technologists practice embedding, microtomy, staining, and special staining techniques. In this Role: Processing tissue samples for Pathologists, depending on experience.Involvement in grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and special staining techniques. Setting up and running lab tests according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Monitoring inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient processes.What You Will Need to Succeed: BSc in Biology, Biomedical Science, Animal Science, Zoology, or equivalent. A proactive, hardworking attitude with a passion for science, innovation, and pet health. Experience working in a laboratory, including setting up, running, and reading lab tests.Operating laboratory equipment (microscopes and/or clinical analyzers) is a plus. Schedule: This position is for early or late shifts: Monday to Friday, 5:00-2:30 pm or 2:00-10:30 pm, depending on business needs. Reliable attendance is essential.
