It is part of the Rapid Rehousing service, a community housing initiative aimed at collaborating with other services to support whānau experiencing homelessness to secure permanent housing. The role is suitable for a registered health professional with experience in mental health, addiction, or social services, who is registered in their practice.Key responsibilities include: Reviewing and coordinating referrals Identifying and addressing barriers to housing access Assessing and supporting ongoing needs to sustain and improve living situations Collaborating with community providers and navigating the social housing sector Building relationships with agencies like the Ministry of Social Development and Kāinga OraSupporting whānau to maintain tenancies and achieve housing stability Candidate Profile | Mōu We seek registered health professionals with experience in mental health, social sectors, and housing. Ideal candidates will have: Full NZ driver’s license Strong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Experience in assessments and crisis intervention Attention to detail and record-keeping skills Self-management and teamwork skills Leadership qualities and initiative Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working with MāoriThis role is under the Social Worker pay spine; a registered social worker is desirable Application Details | Rā Katinga Applications close on 08 June 2025, but may close earlier if a suitable candidate is found.
