Clinical Psychologist - Adult Mental Health Invercargill Community Mental Health Team Southland Hospital Salary $85,000 - $130,000 and KiwiSaver Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) Ours is an innovative service, working with an integrated model of care across community and inpatient settings. We are invested in developing our model of delivery towards increasing access to psychological therapies. Our staff are motivated people wanting to provide optimal treatment via thorough assessment and continued MDT co-ordination of treatment.Mō te tūranga - About the role This adult mental health role combines assessment and therapy for people experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress. The Clinical Psychologist is an integral and valued member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the provision of patient-centredinterventions.We want a like-minded individual to join our multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists. You will provide a wide range of psychological services including risk assessment, diagnostics and testing, formulation and treatment planning, along with therapy.You will work closely with consumers, family/whanau, and community groups in a supportive, educational, and clinical role that is firmly based upon the mental health recovery principles. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that ensures we provide our clients with assertive follow-up by maintaining contact with individuals through a key worker/case manager system. You will be a motivated individual, keen to make a difference and thrive in a busy and diverse working environment. You will possess excellent communication, time management, and team working skills and will be able to work well under pressure and in stressful situations. Having experience of working with adult patients with mental illness in a community setting is essential, as this role combines assessment, treatment, and psychotherapy for people experiencing both acute and long-standing psychological conditions and issues.Minimum Requirements You must be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with The NZ Psychologist's Board, hold a current practising certificate with a clinical scope, and have a NZ driver's licence to apply for these roles.
