It is a 6-month run, after which you will join the main House Officer team. The role involves predominantly working in ED with Orthopaedic patients and assisting in fracture clinics when available. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 0800– 1600, categorized as D Band. You will be part of a team providing comprehensive elective general orthopaedic services, as well as 24-hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Emergency care.Your work will include exposure to subspecialties such as: Trauma surgery Joint replacement Spinal surgery Paediatric Orthopaedics Foot and Ankle Surgery Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery Occupational Medicine Upper Limb Surgery This position is covered by the New Zealand Resident Doctors’ Association, Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) Collective Agreement, and STONZ.About the Location The Southern District includes Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown, and Wānaka.
