We are in partnership with our customer Countdown, supplying Countdown Supermarkets with packaged and value-added meat/poultry/seafood products.About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join the HFNZ Quality team! Based at our state-of-the-art Auckland facility, the successful applicant will support the manufacturing facility through continuous quality improvement. The QA Officer will ensure that HFNZ provides safe, compliant, and quality products within customer specifications.The roster will be either Tues - Saturday 4:30 am - 1:00 pm or Wed– Saturday 4:30 am – 3:00 pm. In this role, you will Maintain awareness of regulatory environment and new developments in quality assurance and management; Develop methods to gather and analyse data and quality information to identify quality issues;Collaborate with partners, buyers, vendors, and other stakeholders to develop solutions to quality issues in accordance with PMLS (Product Management Lifestyle Systems) and ensure supply of products; Maintain and enhance QA work processes and systems; Develop corrective actions for product quality issues;Coach partners across the commercial sector in quality standards and processes; Lead quality assurance visits (such as production factory audits); Ensure company policies and procedures fully implement government compliance standards for assigned products/categories; Develop long-term plans, including recommendations for changes in quality assurance methods for the product/category.About you Proven background in Food Manufacturing (experience in Meat and/or Seafood Industry highly regarded); Food Safety Qualification Certificate 4; Food Technologist Qualification tested at NZQA Level 6 or higher; Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role Sound communication skills, both written and verbal;Exceptional problem-solving, organisational, and planning skills; Basic computer skills; Driven to meet business standards and customer expectations, aiming for‘best in class’; High attention to detail.
