Immunisation Support Workers support the promotion and protection the health and hauora of communities, with particular emphasis for Māori and other priority populationsThe primary purpose of the role is to promote the importance of the NZ Immunisation programme to help improve immunisation coverage rates, particularly for Māori, Pacific and those living in Quintile 5 Tamariki from Vaccine preventable diseases. You will also support the Authorised Vaccinators to provide a high quality outreach immunisation service for the Tamariki in Hawkes Bay.About the Team/Service/ Location The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.
