Hydraulics Hawkes Bay is a family owned and run business based in Napier. We specialise in repairing, installing and maintaining hydraulic systems. We work on a vast array of heavy machinery and equipment including cranes, excavators, forestry and earthmoving equipment, fishing vessels, trucks and production machinery. We repair in-house or on-site hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders and hoses.Due to our ongoing success, we are in search of an experienced and skilled Hydraulic Engineer/Technician to join our team. Here in the sunny Hawke’s Bay, we enjoy a wonderful climate, great beaches, plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities and world class food and wine. Relocation assistance can be provided to the successful candidate joining our team.We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, has a high standard of fast, quality workmanship with outstanding problem-solving skills. About the role: The key areas of responsibility include: Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system failures and malfunctions Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and other componentsConduct preventive maintenance to minimise system downtime and extend equipment lifespan Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and explain repair processesAbout you: We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer / Technician, a person that is technical minded, self-motivated, great with time management and has a positive and friendly manner. The successful candidate will have: Knowledge and proven experience repairing pumps, hydraulic motors, hydraulic rams, valvesPrevious and relevant technical experience in both workshop and field service Ability to handle pressure and multiple jobs A positive and pro-active attitude to modern health and safety practices Hydraulics Hawkes Bay has on offer to you a dynamic, fun and supportive environment.
