This hybrid role offers diverse experiences, including Civil Engineering Design and Geotechnical fieldwork. You will work on projects involving earthworks, stormwater, wastewater, water, pavements, and land development, alongside soil investigations and site assessments.What You'll Be Doing: Assist in designing and developing civil engineering projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. Collaborate with our Hawke's Bay-based team to prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications. Utilize 12D software for design tasks, including alignments, snippets, networks, and macros.Conduct site visits and geotechnical investigations, including soil testing and analysis. Work with senior engineers to develop practical, cost-effective solutions for local conditions. Ensure compliance with New Zealand regulations and local council standards. Support project proposals and contribute to client presentations.Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth. Participate in project management to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Follow company procedures and best practices to ensure quality outcomes.Skills and Attributes: Proficiency in 12D and AutoCAD for design and drafting. Experience in site inspections, geotechnical investigations, and report preparation. Knowledge of New Zealand engineering regulations and standards. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Regional experience in Hawke's Bay is advantageous. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Applicants must have New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. Qualifications: NZDE (Civil), Bachelor of Engineering Technology, or Bachelor of Engineering. At least 5 years of civil engineering experience in land development and infrastructure projects in New Zealand.Engagement in diverse local and regional projects contributing to the community.
