This role is suitable for a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker able to manage acute/crisis assessments and treatment and interventions. About the Team/Location Our Adult Community Mental Health teams provide high-quality comprehensive assessment and treatment for adults and their families living in the Nelson/Tasman region. We foster a team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.As a Care Manager, you will work a 24/7 rotating roster responding to clients in crisis. This includes overnight on-call shifts and triaged referrals from Whakarongorau Aotearoa, Health NZ Nelson Marlborough Triage Service, and assessment of acute presentations from ED, GPs, and Police. Shifts are rostered (four days on, two days off over a 6-week cycle), with on-call duties between 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM.About You Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to beginning your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth. Experience in projects/initiatives that implement Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, including Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, especially in healthcaresettings.You will be a mental health professional with confidence to work autonomously and resilience to manage a mixed caseload. Current knowledge of mental health and related issues; clinical experience in addictions is desirable.
