About the role Join our deep-water fleet, comprising 12 fishing vessels operating year-round from Cape Reinga to the Ross Sea. Our vessels can be at sea for up to 12 weeks, catching, processing, and packaging seafood onboard to deliver premium New Zealand seafood globally.Position: Qualified Deck Hand This is an Independent Contractor role based in Timaru, with a typical schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. Enjoy onboard amenities such as full meals, Wi-Fi connectivity, and year-round earning potential. Responsibilities Assist with trawl setup, gear hauling, and shooting.Maintain deck safety and equipment functionality. Participate in safety drills and adhere to safety protocols. Repair fishing gear and vessel equipment. Load and unload supplies and catch, ensuring proper handling and storage. Support factory operations as needed.
