These positions are suitable for PGY2 and above and commence in January 2026. There are numerous roles within different specialties, including relief (covering all specialties).As a Senior House Officer, you will assess and admit all admissions, perform physical examinations, implement treatment plans, maintain clinical records, and attend weekly meetings, among other responsibilities. The working hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, with long days from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Night shifts run from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission shifts are from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm.The available rotations include O&G Diploma, Paediatric Diploma, Emergency, Psychiatry, Psychogeriatrics, Community (Urgent Care, Hospice, GP, GP Rural, Community Psychiatry), Relief, plus General Surgery, Surgical/Vascular, Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Geriatrics, Cardiology, Gynaecology/Ophthalmology, and ENT/Urology, if available.About the Team/Service/Location Our team of 50 House Officers and 120 RMOs work together to provide team-based services to the patients of Nelson Marlborough. About You As a Senior House Officer, you: Must be eligible for general or provisional registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, Need to meet Immigration New Zealand requirements to live and work in New Zealand, Will enjoy working as part of a team and contributing your medical knowledge across all disciplines,Must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of application.
