Cardiac Physiologist, Nelson Hospital, Permanent Full-time Develop close working relationships with medical and nursing staff within the hospital. You will be supported by Physiology and medical teams in a team environment. Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the Role As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will perform cardiac and diagnostic tests. The role includes standard ECG work, stress testing, Holter monitor fitting and reporting, cath lab work involving Angiography and Cardiac Catheterisation, Pacemaker and ICD insertions. Knowledge and experience with pacemaker and device therapy are desired.The working hours are 64 to 80 hours per fortnight (0.8 to 1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Call may be required to cover acute cardiac catheter lab cases. As we offer a district-wide service, you may be required to work at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim on occasions. About the Team/Service/LocationOur Cardiology team operates in a multidisciplinary environment supporting cardiac diagnosis and interventions. Our 4 Cardiac Physiologists work in partnership with colleagues at Wairau Hospital to provide services. For more information on living and working in Nelson Marlborough, click here.About You As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be well-organised, self-motivated, committed to standards of excellence, and possess good interpersonal skills and attention to detail. You will: Be a qualified and experienced Cardiac Clinical Physiologist (CCP). Hold current APC and registration with the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technicians (SCT) and Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB).Have eligibility and rights to work in NZ.
