These positions can be full timeor part time and are open to the following professions: Physiotherapy,Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Language Therapy, Pharmacy, andDietetics.The Critical Care Expansion Programme has provided permanentfunding for Allied Health Critical Care Educators to support and increaseAllied Health (AH) workforce capacity and capability within critical caresettings within Te Waipounamu (South Island). We are now seeking applications for AH Critical CareEducators– across Te Waipounamu, to provide training and education, incritical care settings.These roles are open to both full and part time and we askthat you please express your preferred hours in your cover letter. Thesuccessful applicants will need to be based in a Critical Care unit, in TeWaipounamu (South Island). Purpose of the role: The primary responsibilities of the Critical Care Educator,is to plan, develop, deliver, and facilitate staff training and education bothlocally and regionally, against set standards of care/guidelines, for theprovision of critical care services for their profession and for themultidisciplinary team. They will work in partnership with other critical careeducators to provide support for the AH workforce, and the wider Critical Careteams, across Te Waipounamu.The focus is point of care specialist learning by workingalongside staff who are new-to-practice roles or are experienced staff who arebecoming proficient. The Critical Care Educator will promote a learningenvironment that supports the development of knowledge&skills of alliedhealth professionals working in critical care services and across thecontinuum. They will support Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)s to integratetheoretical knowledge into clinical practice and improve quality of patientcare. The rolewill; report to the Line manager of their Professionoperationally and professionally to the Director of Allied Health of the hostdistrictwork regionally to support profession specificAllied Health staff consider flexible working arrangements; role canbe either full or part time NZ registered with a current APC Participation in Profession Specific ContinuingCompetency programme Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangiin actionProven clinical leadership abilities Outstanding interpersonal and communicationskills Experience in educational interventions Experience in critical care MinimumQualification and Experience: A relevant post graduate certificate or Diploma orDegree; and 5 years or more of relevant clinical experience incritical care medicine or surgeryApply Now Please submit your application and cover letter via the CDHBcareers portal link here , before 11:59pm on Sunday 25 th May.
