Mental Health Practitioner - *£7k Incentive, Nelson

Lancashire&South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Burnley Community Mental Health Team is seeking to appoint two Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioners. This role offers an opportunity for a forward-thinking and experienced individual to develop and implement safe, supportive, and holistic services. Emphasizing multidisciplinary working and principles of the Recovery Model, the successful candidate must be innovative and capable of forming effective relationships. Essential requirements include being a registered mental health practitioner with excellent leadership and clinical skills, significant post-qualification experience in clinical work with diverse mental health issues, and experience in assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs. Knowledge of the care programme approach, risk assessment and management, and understanding of the impact of health and social needs on mental health are also necessary.Main duties of the job Undertake mental health and risk assessments within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist. Refer individuals to other clinicians or services as needed. Provide a responsive service to assess individuals' needs for access to mental health services.Maintain communication between GPs, IAPT, secondary MH services, and non-statutory services to ensure high standards of patient care. Provide mentoring and support to colleagues. For example, a Band 6 Occupational Therapist / Social Worker / Mental Health Nurse at another Trust in the LSC ICS would not be eligible if moving to a similar role at LSCFT. Bank-only workers are eligible if they haven't held a substantive role in the last 12 months. Job responsibilities The£7,000 Welcome Bonus package aims to attract and retain top staff. The payments are scheduled as follows:£3,000 after 2 months of employment £2,000 after 12 months £2,000 after 24 months Candidates must sign an agreement to return all monies if they do not start on the specified date, leave the Trust within 6 months, or transfer roles within the Trust within 6 months that do not attract the bonus.
