About the Role This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has great assessment and time management skills. You will be confident in your practice, able to work autonomously and relate well to a wide variety of people including patients, families, and our multidisciplinary clinical teams. Every day is different and our nurses enjoy the variety of work, the people they interact with, and the challenge of giving each patient the best experience whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.About the Team/Service The medical unit is a 30 bed unit that covers all medical specialties, we are based on level 4 of Nelson Hospital. We work closely with our interdisciplinary team and are proud of our strong team culture. Our nursing staff, management team and HCAs take pride in delivering a consistently high standard of care to our patients. We are fortunate enough to have an experienced nurse educator and clinical coach who provide support to staff in care delivery and also facilitate ongoing professional development of our staff.About You You will have current registration with the NZ Nursing Council and recent acute nursing experience. It will be important that you have a commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team.
