As a Caregiver Social Worker, you will partner closely with caregivers to help them understand their role at each stage of a child's journey through care. With strong relationship management skills and a commitment to tailored support, you will ensure caregivers are well-equipped with resources, skills, and information to provide nurturing, safe, and stable homes for tamariki. Your work will involve building relationships with and supporting whānau and non-whānau caregivers, emergency and respite caregivers, and long-term caregivers.The role is varied and deeply rewarding, offering the opportunity to deliver meaningful benefits to your community. You will collaborate with the child's Social Worker to identify issues and develop creative, tailored strategies that provide cohesive support to facilitate positive outcomes for tamariki. You will also work with other agencies, community groups, and providers as needed. A significant part of this role involves assessment writing, so strong written communication skills are essential.As this is a Social Worker position, you must hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with SWRB.
