About the Role As an Emergency Medicine Advanced Registrar, you will assist in delivering Emergency Medicine to patients, working across a multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for assessment, treatment, and disposition of patients.Some non-ED rotations may be available, including Cardiology, Orthopaedics, and General Medicine. The role involves emergency roster shift patterns– AM, mid, PM, night shifts, plus weekend shifts. About the Team/Service/Location The Emergency Department (ED) currently sees over 31,000 patients per year and is accredited for 6 months of Rural/Regional training by ACEM. The case mix is varied, covering the entire spectrum of emergency medicine, including trauma and paediatrics.You will join a highly motivated and experienced team that includes seven emergency physicians, senior medical officers, dedicated nursing staff, and allied health professionals. About You As an Emergency Medicine Advanced Registrar, you will:Need to be Advanced Trainees registered with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. Hold valid registration or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). Have a commitment to providing ethical treatment. Be able to collaborate with colleagues. Have excellent time management skills.The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
