We seek passionate individuals eager to support others in achieving their goals.You will report to the Team Coach and collaborate with a culturally diverse team of clinicians and support workers, all dedicated to supporting people experiencing mental illness within our Enhanced Mobile Team. The service covers central New Plymouth and surrounding suburbs. The Enhanced Mobile Team is unique in its role of medication support for our Whaiora living independently. We assist with morning and evening medications, with standard support provided during the day in between. We operate seven days a week, 52 weeks a year, with a close-knit team of nine kaimahi who love their work.There are two permanent, full-time positions available: 7:30 am– 4:00 pm, Sunday – Wednesday (32 hours) 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Tuesday – Saturday (40 hours) based in New Plymouth. Responsibilities include: Budgeting and supporting independent daily living skills Attending appointments and advocating for clientsMedication support Working in a recovery-focused manner Assisting with cleaning, cooking, and household tasks to promote transition to independent living Supporting personal improvement goals Must have a NZ full driver’s licence Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one Hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent, or begin studying towards it within six months of employment. Completion within two years is required.
