The successful applicant will be part of a team comprising 12 psychiatrists within the broader service and will have the support of a range of professionals including nursing, counsellors, and psychology within the Addiction service.The Taranaki District Mental Health&Addiction Services provides a wide range of specialist services within the Taranaki region which includes New Plymouth City and coastline, and a large rural/lifestyle population in South Taranaki (Stratford/Hawera). There are five distinct services: Acute Services - 23 bed Inpatient Unit (15 Adult, 4 Mental Health Services Older People, and 4 Intensive Psychiatric Care), Assessment and Brief Care (Crisis Team), and a Co Response Team.Adult Mental health - 2 community teams, and other services such as maternal mental health, eating disorders, and early intervention. Child and Adolescent mental health services. Mental health services for Older people. Addiction Services.
