As a PSW/DSW you will be part of a diverse and forward-thinking team who provides exceptional services to the tri-counties area of Oxford, Elgin, and Norfolk!As a PSW/DSW at the MSC you will be responsible for: The provision of a variety of direct support care services to individuals in the community Performing Personal Care Tasks (including assistance with bathing, hygiene, grooming, dressing, foot care, transfers&mobility) Performing Household Management Tasks (e.g. light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning&preparation, errands) Providing socialization visits and care giver relief Promoting Wellness (e.g. encourage client independence and involvement in the care plan) Respecting and protecting the rights of clients, including but not limited to their right to independence, autonomy, and self-determination; their right to choose and practice individual values, beliefs, religion, and culture; their right to privacy and dignity; and their right to live free from retaliation, discrimination and abuse.Requirements: What you bring: A certificate from an approved Personal Support Worker or Developmental Services Worker program from a school registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities A valid Ontario Drivers License and reliable transportation required Previous experience working in a home care setting would be an assetA valid First Aid/CPR training certification A strong work ethic with a focus on client confidentiality and exceptional care This job advertisement has been provided by an external employer.
