Job DescriptionAbout the mahi (role) We are seeking a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Vocational Therapist to join our busy Taranaki team. The role involves supporting mainly with vocational contracts, both private and ACC, with opportunities for growth in areas of interest. We also hold assessment contracts and offer a hybrid role.Our coverage includes the greater Taranaki region and a satellite clinic in Hawera. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, exercise therapists, hand therapists, pain specialists, psychologists, dieticians, and clinical pharmacists. With extensive training and mentoring depending on experience, the successful candidate will provide a variety of Well At Work services within Taranaki, focusing on workplace prevention and management of pain, discomfort, and injury.You will manage your diary autonomously to maintain a good work/life balance, working from the New Plymouth Clinic, various employers, and within the community. Flexibility to work from home is also available. The role will include: Completing workplace assessments for return to work following illness or injury.Providing education, training, treatment, and rehabilitation in community and workplace settings. Liaising with specialists, GPs, and employers for smooth rehabilitation. Completing administration and documentation tasks from home. Desired Skills and Experience About youThe applicant requires a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience . A postgraduate qualification in occupational health/vocational rehabilitation is advantageous but not essential, with support to work towards it. Successful candidates will have: A genuine interest in vocational rehabilitation.A strong work ethic and desire for clinical excellence. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage time and workload efficiently. Ability to work autonomously and in a team. Commitment to professional development.
