The University’s buildings and estate are vital for academic work and contribute to Oxford’s reputation as a city of learning, heritage, and culture. They enhance the city’s architecture and provide a beautiful environment for visitors, residents, staff, and students.Oxford has an annual estates capital programme of approximately£160 million, with a total programme value up to £1.0 billion. This role involves managing multiple faculties, with responsibility for diverse minor to mid-sized capital projects valued between £100,000 and £15 million. The portfolio includes over 250 projects with an annual expenditure exceeding £30 million.The successful candidate will have proven experience in leading complex estate improvement portfolios, ensuring quality and value for money across diverse projects. Delivery-focused with strong commercial acumen, you will demonstrate a track record of successful project development and delivery. As a Development Manager in a client-side role, you should be skilled in working with delivery partners, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
