Role Overview Selwyn District Council is seeking a Project Manager for our Capital Works Team, focusing on Horizontal Projects. This role involves applying project management expertise to support infrastructure initiatives that meet community needs. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership aligned with our values, focusing on future needs and continuous improvement.Manage projects using established methodologies and stakeholder engagement. Deliver projects in accordance with Council priorities, budgets, and sustainability goals, ensuring successful completion and public use. Oversee practical completion inspections and address defects during maintenance periods.Ideal Candidate Self-motivated with solutions-oriented mindset, capable of fostering strong stakeholder relationships and effective communication. Required qualifications and experience include: Minimum 5 years' experience in project management. Teritary qualification in Engineering, Project Management (e.g., Prince2/PMP), or equivalent experience.Proven ability to manage small to medium and complex projects efficiently. Experience in project, programme, financial, quality, tendering, and contract management. Experience with Local Authority projects is highly desirable.
