Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About The Role Specialist anaesthetists also provide comprehensive services in acute pain, birthing, MRI, Pre Assessment Clinic, respond to trauma calls, and provide clinical management of a robust Intensive Care Unit (7 beds). The Anaesthetic Service provides elective day stay services and a Pre-Admission clinic in Taupo Hospital on a weekly basis.About the Team/Service/Location Rotorua Hospital is a busy district hospital covering a wide range of regional hospital specialties. Surgical Services runs one acute and 4 elective theatres a day. You’ll be joining a team of anaesthetists that provide high quality care and are progressive. About You Applicants for specialist anaesthetic roles must have completed their specialist training (preferably FANZCA) and be eligible to obtain provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Experience in Intensive Care Medicine is strongly desirable, formal qualification(s) in ICU would be extremely attractive to us, but are not a requirement.We have many other areas of clinical interest that we would be interested in discussing.
