This position is full time; however, applications from specialists seeking part-time employment will also be considered. We have a happy supportive team with great collegiality and a strong focus on equity for Maori.Support would be provided for maintenance or development of a special interest. We have a stable experienced team and would be happy to consider applications from newly qualified specialists seeking a supportive environment to commence their consultant career. The successful candidate will provide services in Rotorua and Taupo, participate in a 1:6 acute call roster, and enjoy excellent support from our Anaesthetic, Surgical, Radiology, and Intensive Care teams. There are well-established links with tertiary centres for support. The O&G Team consists of eight specialists (two job share), three registrars, and dedicated O&G SHO support. The department is accredited by RANZCOG for O&G registrar training. We also provide attachments/teaching for 5th and 6th year medical students from Auckland Medical School. The hospital has modern ward areas, ICU, and theatres, and a state-of-the-art ambulatory outpatient area for Gynaecology to facilitate outpatient hysteroscopy and Colposcopy/LLETZ.Mō koe / About you Membership of RANZCOG (or equivalent) is required. Applicants must hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
