Enjoy working in a smaller hospital, gaining experience in general and acute medicine, with a supportive team of consultants, house officers, medical students, and nursing staff. About The General Surgery Department The department has 8 General Surgical consultants covering a broad spectrum of General Surgery. Special interests include Colorectal, Breast&Endocrine, and Upper GI surgery. The registrar will have opportunities to rotate through these units and gain diverse surgical experience. The department is a recognized training site for RACS surgical trainees and supports registrar teaching and training. Support and supervision are provided to enhance operative and non-operative skills, with a strong reputation for supporting registrars’ training pathways.About the Location Lakes is a geothermal wonderland, home to scenic lakes including Lake Taupō, New Zealand's largest lake.
