Registered Health Professional - Intake and Assessment Professional CHIRP Tauranga Hospital Fixed-Term (12 months)– Part time (32 hours per fortnight) Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About The Role We are looking for an experienced Registered Health Professional to join our vibrant Tauranga based Child Health Integrated Response Pathway (CHIRP) triage team. This is an information gathering and referral coordination role, linking whānau with the right support for their Tamariki with behavioural, neurodevelopmental or associated mental health concerns.This is a part-time role, working 32 hours per fortnight on a 12 month fixed-term to cover paternity leave. About the Team/Service/ Location CHIRP is a triage service for young people aged 14 years and younger, with developmental, attentional and/or behavioural concerns, that are of clinical significance, impact on the child’s functioning across home and educational settings and may be due to an underlying neurodevelopmental condition including autism, ADHD and/or intellectual disability.The team is made up of Public Health care workers who liaise with experts from the Child Development Services , Paediatrics Department, Child&Adolescent Mental Health Services and Education. Based on the information gathered the team review the child's needs and then recommend the best team(s) to support the child and whānau.
