Paediatric Fellow Whakatane Hospital at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, Bay of Plenty We seek a Paediatric Fellow/Advanced Trainee at Whakatane Hospital, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, commencing September 2025. About the Role This is a 4-month fixed-term position, from September 2025 to January 2026. It is ideal for a Senior Paediatric Registrar seeking genuine peripheral and rural training experience accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. The role shares after-hours call duties, averaging 1:4, with four Consultant Paediatricians and one MOSS. Supervision will be appropriate for the trainee.The position is recognized by the Division of Rural Hospital Medicine Training. RMHT applicants will be considered, but preference will be given to RACP Advanced Trainees. Applicants must be eligible for Medical Council of New Zealand registration. Many of our communities, especially Māori, have high health needs.
