New opportunity at CILT (Coromandel Independent Living Trust) CILT (Coromandel Independent Living Trust) is excited to announce a search for an experienced General Manager who will bring strong leadership skills and operational/service delivery experience to our organization. As our new General Manager, you will report to the Board of Trustees and will be responsible for leading the organization’s strategic direction and managing day-to-day operations.Registered under the Charities Commission, CILT’s purpose is to strengthen community needs within the Upper Coromandel region. Established in 1994, we operate as an innovative Charitable Trust in Coromandel’s vibrant township, providing diverse services in disability, social housing, education, and environmental sectors.Key Areas of Responsibility : Operational Leadership&Management: Oversee daily management, ensure smooth service delivery, and develop projects to grow the organization. Financial&Resource Management: Manage budgets, ensure financial sustainability, and maintain relationships with funders. Stakeholder&Community Engagement: Represent CILT in community networks, implement marketing strategies, and promote our work. Accountability&Reporting: Provide financial reports to the Board and ensure outcomes align with the Strategic Plan. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety standards in line with the Health and Safety At Work Act 2015. What you will bring:Proven success as a CEO or General Manager with experience in partnerships, finance, marketing, communications, strategic planning, HR, IT, and Board reporting.● Strategic leadership - Experience in developing and executing strategic and business plans with measurable results. ● Financial/Commercial acumen - Ability to ensure long-term financial sustainability and growth.● People leadership - Track record of building high-performance, customer-focused teams and fostering positive organizational culture. ● Stakeholder relationship building - Ability to influence, motivate, collaborate, and engage stakeholders effectively. ● Interpersonal skills - Credible, approachable, transparent, and aligned with CILT’s values.This role requires someone with:● 5-7+ years of senior management experience with a strategic mindset. ● Strong financial skills and negotiation experience. ● A collaborative, adaptable, and people-first approach. ● Experience working with Charitable Trusts, community networks, government, and businesses.● A commitment to bicultural principles, with understanding of Te ao Māori.
