About the Role In this role, you will provide assessment and treatment for rangatahi/children and adolescents with acute or enduring mental illness in the community.Reporting to the CNM and ACNM, you will hold a caseload of 25-30 people as part of the MDT, which includes consultant psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, takawaenga, support workers, NGOs, and nurses. You will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessments, and develop collaborative recovery plans to support whai ora.The salary will be based on experience and aligned with the PSA Mental Health and Public Health Nursing Collective Agreement or the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery Collective Agreement. Our base is in Tokoroa, with outreach clinics in Te Awamutu, Te Kuiti, and Taumarunui. This position is primarily based in Tokoroa but may support other bases as needed.Mental Health and Addictions Services at Waikato deliver a full range of specialty services across the district. We are committed to working in partnership with tāngata whai ora and their whānau to create kotahitanga. We maintain close relationships with local NGO and PHO partners. About You Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, applying Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, especially in healthcare. Passionate about working with tangata whai ora and whānau, with mental health experience.Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
