We’re looking for a Procurement Team Lead to join our South Waikato-based dairy operation – a key player in fullmilk powder production.About the Role: Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this leadership position is pivotal to ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality-driven procurement across the business. You’ll guide a skilled team, drive procurement strategy, and foster strong supplier partnerships to support our production goals.Think of it as the ultimate balancing act between long-term planning and real-time responsiveness– and yes, there's room to innovate. Location: Tokoroa, South Waikato (with Matamata just a scenic drive away) What you’ll be responsible for: Leading and developing a high-performing procurement teamDesigning and executing procurement strategies aligned with business goals Negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor performance Identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and company standards Overseeing procurement workflows and reporting on key metricsWhat you’ll bring: 5+ years’ experience in a Procurement Leadership role, ideally in Dairy, FMCG, or Manufacturing Strong commercial acumen with the ability to lead negotiations and optimise supply chains SAP or S4 HANA experience preferred Proven team leadership capabilities Relevant tertiary qualification (CIPS certification an advantage)Excellent communication, analysis, and stakeholder management skills Why Tokoroa?
