Our commitment to personalised support is reflected in our 'whatever it takes' wairua and spirit.The Benefits | Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou Earn up to $29.83 per hour An organisation that believes in its purpose The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Reporting to the Team Coach, our casual roles provide cover for permanent Support Workers - the hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. The shifts cover 24/7 or 7:00am-3:30pm/2.00pm-10.30pm, Monday-Sunday based in Waihi.If this sounds like you, here are some of the responsibilities required of you: Support people connect back with their community Support with cooking, cleaning, gardening and helping with everyday household tasks Assisting with budgeting and independent daily living Medication support where requiredAttending appointments and advocating for the people we support A current full New Zealand driver’s licence. A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one. Hold either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us. We offer our staff significant support to complete this study.Experience in working with young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care. Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts. Both de-escalation skills and relationship-building skills. Māori and Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.
