About the Role Te Uru Whakamauora Directorate have an opportunity for a senior nurse to join the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Elderhealth team at an exciting time of community focused, culturally responsive, integrated health care for kaumatua and older adults in our region. The role encompasses both the community Elderhealth specialist nursing service, and involvement in the transdisciplinary OPAL (Older Person's Assessment and Liaison) Community Service.We are seeking to recruit a senior nurse who can ensure they deliver clinical and cultural best practice across the region. This role will be based in Horowhenua but supported by a team of senior nurses who engage in comprehensive assessments and support, within the care continuum in a variety of care settings including people's homes, throughout Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua, Midcentral.About the Team/Service Employing over 2500 people, MidCentral offers a supportive work environment that accepts and values all employees. Proven leadership, and ability to engage with tangata whenua and iwi providers isan advantage for this role.A postgraduate qualification with prescribing qualifications or willingness to obtain is a pre-requisite.
