About the Role The Occupational Therapist working within the acute services plays a crucial role in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients on the acute wards. This role will be based on the acute wards with a primary focus on those who have experienced neurological impairments. These impairments may arise from conditions such as traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, or spinal cord injuries, stroke among others. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for helping patients regain functional independence and improve their quality of life by addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. This role will complement the work of the Acute Stroke Service (ASU).About the Team Our dedicated team of Occupational Therapists work within a collaborative and interdisciplinary model, ensuring seamless patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
