Consultant Dermatologist at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast&Hutt Valley, Wellington Hospital Location: Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital, and Hutt Hospital Contract: Permanent, full-time/part-time (32-40 hours) An exciting opportunity has opened to join our small but dynamic Dermatology team in the Capital, Coast&Hutt Valley region. We are looking for experienced Dermatologists who are available to work 32 - 40 hours per week. As one of the four Dermatology hubs in Aotearoa, we need an experienced Dermatologist with strong dermatology surgical skills and knowledge of medical dermatology. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work within a hospital environment to provide care to our patient population.The successful applicant will provide consulting services and facilitate the provision of high-quality care to the patients under their care. The role will also involve teaching and supervision, with a plan to expand the service over the coming years. About the Team/Service/Location The Dermatology Service is responsible for providing comprehensive dermatological services for the sub-region, including Hutt Valley and Porirua. The service offers collegial leadership in achieving specific annual targets and outcomes, and in identifying and implementing service development initiatives.Capital, Coast, and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and employs over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making it one of the major employers in the Wellington region. We operate three hospitals: Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital, and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua, as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.About You Vocationally registered in Internal Medicine (Dermatology) with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) FRACP or equivalent to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Consistently high standards of medical careRelevant experience and training Working for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to weaving wellness.
