We are offering a salary of $61,230, commensurate with skills and experience. Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity - Media, Communications, and Political ScienceWithin Te Waka Kōtuia - Engagement and Partnerships, and Te Mahau - Customer and Services, you'll engage with government, communities, and industry. As an Emerging Professional, you'll gain experience in advisory work, public communications, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills and contribute to meaningful projects supporting NZTA's goals.You will have the chance to rotate through and gain experience in areas such as: Ministerial Services - Supporting Ministers with advice, responses to parliamentary requests, and information coordination. Channels - Managing communication through digital platforms, media, and internal channels for effective messaging.Communications and Engagement - Building stakeholder relationships, storytelling about NZTA's impact, and community engagement. To succeed, you should have: A bachelor's degree or higher in Media, Communications, or Political Science Graduated within the last three years Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong personal and cultural values A collaborative mindset and engagement skills A willingness to learn and develop new skills Curiosity about improving processes and outcomes A proactive attitude You should also demonstrate knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, Te Ao Māori, tikanga, Te Reo Māori, and te Tiriti o Waitangi as they relate to the public sector.For the full position description, click here.
