Howmet Dover Casting is a leading supplier of complex investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy supplies vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical, and other high-tech markets.We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our Casting Facility in Dover, New Jersey . The role primarily involves first shift work but requires flexibility for off-shift hours. Job Summary This role involves maintaining the dimensional integrity of castings through process control and improvement, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with various departments to meet customer and internal requirements. Responsibilities include process improvement, tool design, product development, customer communication, and cost management.Environmental, Health&Safety Implement company EH&S policies and comply with regulations. Wear personal protective equipment and report hazards or incidents. Participate in EH&S training sessions. Core Competencies Systems thinking, optimization, anticipation, operational acceleration, organizational skills, influence, data-driven decision-making, reactive prioritization, relationship building. Responsibilities Customer communication and technical support. Product engineering experiments, new product introduction, cost reduction, capacity, and process improvements.Quote new products and tooling, coordinate with vendors, and support tooling design. Manage supplier relationships and provide technical support for product concessions and first article approvals. Develop and review process control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions. Support manufacturing yield improvements, analyze data, and participate in cross-functional cost reduction initiatives.Compile dimensional data for customer approval and manage MRB dispositions. Qualifications Must have legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship not available. B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred). Experience in investment casting and knowledge of MS Office preferred.
