By joining our expanding team of psychologists in the Intervention and Support Practice team, you will be part of a dynamic environment focused on effective interventions and support.We are seeking a passionate psychologist to join our mental health team at Rimutaka Prison. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of mental health services provided by the Department of Corrections (Ara Poutama Aotearoa). As a psychologist, you will be an integral part of the Intervention and Support Practice team, delivering mental health support and treatment to our most vulnerable individuals in custody. Your responsibilities will include providing psychological services that promote mental well-being, conducting assessments, triage, and evidence-informed treatments in line with best practices. A key aspect of your role will be promoting holistic and recovery-oriented health services within the prison environment. Our teams model expert clinical practices and prioritize Humanising and Healing principles, respecting the dignity and mana of all individuals in our care and their families.The salary range for this role is $83,286 - $133,370 per annum. Psychologists may also access additional allowances and professional development funding. Flexible and part-time working options may be available. Appointment and salary will reflect your skills and experience.
